Most babies love to be held. They've been warm, snuggly and close to your heart for 9 months and they want things to stay that way. They do get used to the outside world after a while, but those first few weeks can be scary. An ideal way of dealing with this is to hold them close to you - to your skin and your heart - for long periods of time. Wearing a baby close to your skin can promote breastfeeding (stimulates hormone production and results in more relaxed baby and mummy) and generally results in a calmer, happier baby. Slings help you do this while still getting on with other things, exposing babies to normal life while keeping them safe and snug
Baby Sling Shop is a small company that sells and hires slings. We stock a small range of products (initially one of each of the main types of sling). These are products that we know and love. We can demonstrate them, give handy hints and offer them for you to use for a limited time for a small fee. This fee (up to a limit depending how long you hire for) will be refunded if you decide to buy that sling new from us. So, if you're local (Bromsgrove, Worcestershire) you can come and see us, try out some different types, get some advice, and hire the one you like most before coming to see us.
